You hear the chords from the organ, the snare and high hat, then a pretty good verse from Drake, and finally you hear what brought you to the song. Bun B, the legend of hip hop himself. His verses have been lighting up tracks with his signature sound and the beats to follow ever since UGK’s 1992 album Too Hard To Swallow. But of course you know the history, and now I’m just blabbing on.
I haven’t been enjoying every track Drake has been putting out, but this came up on shuffle today, and brought me back to why I enjoy his raps. But, on top of that it brought me back to what a serious threat Bun B was and still is.
Trill, RIP Pimp C and all that.
